Being comfortable with yourself, first and foremost.
Growing stronger with every hardship, even if it's really hard.
Finding & embracing your individual style, not your mom's or your friend's. Yours.
Loving where you live, and if not, finding a place to love and call home.
Being open to failures, regrets, risks. And being open-minded.
And lastly...
Funny how inspiration can translate into some great advice. These last two I'm especially taking into heart. More to come, I'm sure. :)

Hey Helen :)
ReplyDeleteSO TRUE @ "Sometimes it's hard to define who we are upfront (we're all such complex and contradictory creatures), but sharing inspiration? It's the most natural way to say hello, this is me."
I'm learning to allow myself to reach out in this season, it's been a tad revealing, but as you said, inspiration can always have a spot. I figure you just never know who else might need a lift of shyness off of them........
thanks for sharing :) Have a groovy day :)
I love these! The Thoreau quote is my absolute favorite.
ReplyDeleteI love your introduction to this post. it is so true, it can be hard to define ourselves, to say who we are in words... and even if we have the right words, it can be hard to just say it, to write it, to explain it to someone else. but sharing what inspires us is like giving a snapshot into our soul. I never really thought of it that way before, until you said it just now.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing your inspiration with us. I love seeing pieces of you! and I'm with you, that Thoreau quote really speaks to me. it can be so hard to do that, to pursue your dreams confidently but it is so important, too, in creating a life that is fulfilling for you.
xo!
p.s. thank you SO MUCH for your sweet comment on my "moving" post today. it means a lot.
Love it!
ReplyDeleteI have an award for you on my blog!
