inspiration: this weekend

My dears, I had such a fantastic weekend and am continuing on my hunt for inspiration, only this time with a camera by my side. I've found that the fun little moments in life bring forth so many other happy memories.... I guess pieces of inspiration connect seamlessly to one another, just like we do now via blog! (Now isn't that a warming thought?) Here's what I captured in the past three days:

Pretty flowers in our apartment! (What kind are they? I have no clue.)

Yummy risotto and crème brûlée at Métrazur, a restaurant inside the gorgeous Grand Central Station

...which by the way has a magnificent ceiling of constellations, coincidentally reminding me of the song "Yellow" by Coldplay.

I often tell my friends that blogging and drinking tea are the most therapeutic things...

So I often do both at once! I think in the first picture, I was actually typing up my previous blog post!

My roommates and I are planning a fun trip to Brooklyn later this month. Think chocolate eating and thrift shopping fun.

I also met lots of college students at a beauty event this weekend. Our contact info packet reminded me of a high school yearbook! (Thanks for helping me pick my photo by the way!) I had a blast. Hope your weekend was swell too! xo

  1. Ooh - that risotto looks divine.

And, is that flower a calla lily? It looks a bit like one!

  2. i so want that creme brulee like right now!

have a great week my dear!

  3. Morning :)

Seems like your weekend was full of smiles and new discoveries....mine was; movies & taking pictures, in which I'll be featuring later on my blog during this week. Those flowers I believe are Tulips. I LOVE anything by Coldplay...and I mean ANY-THING! Have fun with the trip......when I go out of town I plan on going to Paris someday, or Chicago...yea, Chicago a place I've wanted to revisit a while now. :) Enjoy your day :)

  4. glad that u had a wonderful weekend, helen! ur thoughts on inspiration is well said:) i couldn't agree more! i'm with ya, tea (or sometimes coffee hehe) and blogging is quite therapeutic.

  6. Ooh, Emma, you're right -- they're calla lilies!

  8. Glad to hear you're getting inspired again Helen! And I'm in full agreement about tea ;) xoxo

  10. Now I'm craving creme brulee even though I'm the biggest chocolate mousse fan! Let's go get dessert soon! And as for teacups...I've become an expert now thanks to you with the tea!
