brilliant typography

F for Friday!

Last night, I stumbled upon Daily Drop Cap, an incredibly creative series of stylized letters, from A to Z, by typographer and illustrator Jessica Hische. So happy I found it. I felt like a little kid who just peeked into a kaleidoscope for the first time -- so many colors and shapes! Go check out the project, and prepare to be duly impressed!

  8. Thanks for this! I've never encountered such a website until now. Typography is indeed a big part of website design. Don't you agree, Helen? People could use those stylized letters for a website banner or signature. My folks in Ohio would surely use the letter O!

  9. This is truly a brilliant typography, Helen! Maybe it would be great if you will use them for your cute web design. My wife (who is now having a vacation in Waterloo), has her own blog and website too. Since she worked at an agency in Guelph, web design became her passion, so from time to time, she always make sure that her sites are well-made and they look attractive to fellow bloggers and internet users, as well.

  10. Wow, that's very intricate! I'm a bit of a typeface collector, and I enjoy using them in the websites I help build, just for kicks. Every letter has its personality, and every web owner his or her taste, and all those should be used to create a vibrant website.
