Bubble gum and canvas. Just some of artist Dan Colen's works in the Gagosian Gallery in NYC. I can't wait to check them out! Such beautiful colors.

sister time
Just got home for Thanksgiving break and will be back in Philadelphia until Sunday. I haven't visited my family since August, so it's been so nice to just relax and catch up. My 13-year-old sis Jessica and I are having a ball in her room, reading and swapping stories! I love her a lot. :)

the spade's place
Pictures of Andy and Kate Spade's apartment via The Selby makes my heart pitter patter like mad. What character! What color! Things I love about their home: vintage furniture, art & photographs EVERYWHERE, books piled up on desks and windowsills, and the elegant clutter. (I'm a firm believer in clutter if it looks good!)
Not only do I adore Kate as a designer and businesswoman (I read her Harvard Business School case a few years ago, and it's brilliant), I think her family and home are positively charming. See more photos here!

the girlfriend hour
I am constantly amazed and impressed by my friends. Besides being awesome people, they're quite an accomplished, successful, and interesting bunch. I'm lucky to have them in my life, and since I can't help but toot their horns, I wanted to introduce four of my wonderful friends who mean the world to me...
The Video Vixen: My friend Lucy runs her own "How To" Youtube Channel. She's shared tips on how to tie a bowtie, make a ramen omelette, and make your manicure last. You're adorable Lucy!
The Fighter: Liz is so fierce. She's works in Sales & Trading at JP Morgan, kicks butt with her taekwondo skills, and always, always looks put together. I cherish our talks and our weekly coffee and lunch dates, Liz.

Mackenzie and I from when I visited Boston last month!
The Visionary: Mackenzie (a friend and former fellow L'Oreal intern) was among this year's Glamour's Top 10 College Women for her anti-tobacco advocacy work! Thank you for being my beauty advisor, Boston host, and reminding me that I'm "worth it!"
The Sister: Caroline is my oldest friend (since the 6th grade!) and truly my soul sister. You are the smartest person I know (Valedictorian, Perfect SAT's, Harvard senior - you are a rockstar). I'm so happy you'll be in NYC with me post-grad, and I love you so much!
These are just four girlfriends who have changed my life with their positivity and love! I can't wait to introduce some more next time around. Do you have friends that have special labels in your head? (I know I'm often labeled "the goofball" heh heh.)

the little things
... Are what I live for. And when life is busy, filled with exams and papers like now, I feel so deprived! Just being still is such a luxury (preferably on the couch with a blanket and book). Life's little pleasures are so underrated sometimes, don't you think? Here are a few little moments I'm remembering now...

rain ready
Loving this raincoat from ModCloth... the oversized collar is so glamorous! I like how it can serve as a scarf when you pull it in. WANT.

the chocolate room
A professor recently recommended that I reach out to his friend to speak at my entrepreneurship club... And he just so happens to be the owner/founder of The Chocolate Room in Brooklyn!!! Entrepreneurs always excite me, but I am particularly stoked to meet this guy. The concept of a room full of chocolate -- and nothing but chocolate -- sounds overwhelmingly wonderful...
After doing research, I found out that The Chocolate Room was named the 2009 Best Dessert Cafe in New York by Zagat. Um, that's quite an accomplishment! I can't wait to make a visit... their chocolate cake looks DEE-licious!

halloween in the west village
Halloween this year was so lovely -- the parade, everyone's creative costumes, Rocky Horror Picture Show, and awesome friends! Some polaroid fun...

red hot color
Last week, I wore a red blazer to a business casual breakfast event (quite daring I know!), and let me tell you, I felt amazing! It's incredible what the color red does to my mood. I felt so energized the entire day, despite a full day of schoolwork and events ahead of me. New goal: surround myself with this wonderful color more often! Cheers to beautiful color on our clothes and in our lives :)

southern comfort
First off, Happy Halloween! I just got back from a super fun and eventful Halloween celebration in NYC -- will post tons of pictures soon! But first I want to share with you some delicious southern food I indulged in earlier today for lunch...
This Friday and Saturday, some friends and I ventured up to Sturbridge, Massachusetts for a retreat. On the journey back to New York, we had the most delicious meal at Cracker Barrel. It was my first time there, and I practically melted from the yumminess overload! Meatloaf, dumplings, mac 'n cheese and fried apple... what a treat! How wonderful it must be to really live in the South. I've never been! Definitely missing out.
